I love to write, dabbling in fanfic and original pieces. I took a long break to clear my head, find my wandering muse, and gather some new inspiration.
Now, I have started to write again and I'll be using this as my fic journal.

I finished editing Standing at the Edge, my long Stargate Atlantis writing project that was also my NaNoWriMo 2007. I like to think that I learned a lot about writing and how valuable emotions are to the story. On the downside, I realized how frustrating certain aspects of writing a long novel can be. It was sad to see chapters I had written in November be discarded, but I still love how it ended. Change is not scary and not the end of the world. My regret is not telling the rest of the story. I ended the novel at least 8 chapters too soon, but I was restless and wanted to work on my next writing project. Actually, I wanted to work on some shorts, but that didn't happen.

Currently, I writing an original novel, unnamed but the working title is "Life in the Fast Lane". I lost a loved one at the end of July and my muse went into hiding. I've been trying to coax her out again, and it's working but I'm still stuck on my story. I've been editing chapters and reworking some parts and I think I may have a new angle to take, which will unlock my muse. *fingers crossed*

"I'm a leaf on the wind." I'll write whatever the breeze blows my way and tickles my fancy. That's the beauty of writing. I love Firefly and intended to finish up some fics that I started years ago but the call to work on my next novel is being heard loud and clear.
